The International Day of Persons with Disabilities
being celebrated on 3rd December every year. The
Sanstha has decided to celebrate the ensuing International
Day of Persons with Disabilities on Sunday
the 4th December, 2011 at 10.00 a.m.
at Vishnudas Bhave Auditorium, Vashi, Navi
Mumbai. The 101 Handicapped students from Navi Mumbai-Pen-Uran
region who have successfully passed in S.S.C.
and H.S.C. examinations held in March 2011 will be felicitated in the function.
Good News! Celebrate the Success. CIDCO is announcing
its ULAWE Housing Project of 1344 households in
April 2010. CIDCO is providing 2% reservations
for the "Persons with Disabilities"
in the scheme.
As per our demands submitted to the DRM
and Additional DRM, CST, Mumbai, from time
to time the railway has provided new Trains
with bigger Handicap Compartment for the
commuters. Heartiest thanks to Central Railway
and looking forward for more new trains in near
future.
Our request for "NO QUE" for Persons
with Disabilities while purchasing Local
Ticket/Season Pass is accepted by Railways.
Our proposal for inclusion of disability related
complete information in Unique Identification
Cards is accepted by Unique Identification
Authority of India (UIDAI), Govt. of India.
The delegates of the association are planning
to meet Hon'ble Shri. Mukul Wasnik,
Cabinet Minister, Ministry of Social Justice &
Empowerment, Government of India, and submit
its nine suggestions pertaining to persons
with disabilities.
